Hej hej!
I'm Jessica El Fdil, partner of Azul Rugs. A few months ago, Salima approached me and asked if I wanted to collaborate with Azul. My immediate answer was YES! Although at the time neither of us knew exactly how we were going to shape this.
The reason I immediately said YES is actually very simple. I thought Azul was a wonderful company from the start, because firstly it offers beautiful and sustainable rugs and secondly because it is also linked to supporting the local population in Morocco. Morocco has a special place in my heart, so that made the picture complete for me. What I also find very important is that the sheep that provide the wool for the rugs have a good life. In addition, I have always been crazy about interior design and I am always looking for beautiful, authentic items, preferably with a nice story. Now let Azul contain exactly all these aspects... YES, my choice was made!
A few years ago I emigrated from the Netherlands to Sweden with my family. Sweden is an incredibly beautiful country with beautiful summers, but of course also with very cold and long winters. Azul is international, but I will mainly focus on the Scandinavian market. I especially hope that people in the 'High North' can become acquainted with the beautiful (literally) warm, traditional rugs from Morocco!
